How has there been five Paranormal Activity films already? Man this franchise will not quit. In it’s defense, it’s the only horror franchise that seems to still care about the story. What started in 2007, has quickly grown into a multi-billion dollar powerhouse. This latest installment, unlike the others, is adding a bit of color to the mix. I myself wondered how long it would take before folks got tired of seeing rich white folks being haunted in their beautiful NSA homes.
Still using the famous p.o.v experience that has made the films what they are today, Paranormal Activity 5 follows protagonist Jesse (Andrew Jacobs), who, after being “marked,” is pursued by mysterious forces while his family and friends try to save him.
It seemed cool right up until the “Chronicle” moment when the star Richard Cabral, throws these thugs into the air like superman.
The movie stars Richard Cabral, Carlos Pratts, Eddie J. Fernandez, Jorge Diaz, David Fernandez Jr., Kimberly Ables Jindra, Tonja Kahlens, and Frank Salinas. Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones opens January 3, 2014.
